One Week to Go

It’s Saturday, January 25th for all those who haven’t looked at the calendar yet this morning.  Great time of year for photographers that’s for sure.  The number of daylight hours are on the rise (the day is still 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.1 seconds) and you can get the good light at a reasonable time of day.  But that’s not the reason for this post… Our next meeting is Monday February 3rd which is when the voting for the December (Fluidity) segment of the photo contest closes and submissions for the January (Window on the World) segment also closes.  So get to it on both fronts.  I see that there are a couple of entries for which...

Photos Needed – Visitor Guide

The Galloway Station Museum will begin production on the upcoming 2014 Edson & Area Visitor Guide. The Visitor Guide is a not-for-profit guide distributed to hundreds of visitors and residents to Edson and area. Distributed free of charge, it’s production costs are covered by the advertising within. It’s a very high-quality book published on gloss paper. Last year’s guide weighed in at almost 50 pages, and highlights Edson’s many venues, attractions, businesses and events. Shari McDowell, manager of the Galloway Station Museum, is looking to fill the guide with as many colourful photos as possible. Welcome all to a New Year and The first Outing of 2014.
